Ladies love to spend hours dissecting the behavior of a man. Whether it is a text, an email, something he said or did, didn’t say or didn’t do, with the help of our gal pals we attempt to interpret his behavior. But here’s the thing, reading between the lines is usually a waste of time because most guys don’t have an in-between. They say and do what they mean, usually, nothing more or less. When he says, “I don’t want a girlfriend” – he means he doesn’t want a girlfriend, not that he doesn’t want one unless someone as fabulous as you comes along. If you send a text that says “Hi!!!!” and he replies “Hi” without exclamation points galore, it doesn’t mean he isn’t happy to hear from you, it just means he’s a guy who refrains from using girly punctuation. If he acts cold and distant – doesn’t take your calls, never seems to be available to go out – he doesn’t like you. Instead of wasting your time and energy puzzled by man speak/action, wanting it to be one thing when it is clearly another, take him and what he says and does for face value. Chances are, deep down you already know what he is communicating.
