Remember the days of high school where it was essentially the unspoken rule to “like like” the guys who didn’t pay you any mind and ignore the sweetheart in chemistry class who always wanted to be your partner? That may have worked then but now it is time to grow up! It is time to get laser focused (literally and figuratively) on the men in your life that ARE paying you attention – not the ones running away. Sure games of cat & mouse can bring about an intoxicating adrenaline rush for a moment or three, but lasting love requires two connected people – not a chaser and a chasee. So stop and think… who are the men in your life that currently adore you and ask yourself why aren’t you considering them as romantic partners? Come up with your reasons and then challenge them! For example, is it because he’s just a friend – Hello?!… friends make the best lovers! Also, when you are out in the dating playground, think twice about blowing off the guy who is showering you with attention just because he’s a blonde, 2 inches shorter than you like, or you heard he was out of a job… and give him a moment of your time… you might be delightfully surprised by what you uncover! After all, you already know he’s into you (score!), now you get to decide if you are into him… how’s that for refreshing empowerment!
